Brian R. Cherry, DMD
Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Brian Cherry was raised in Greenville, SC, and graduated from Riverside High School, furthering his education as a student-athlete at the College of Charleston. After completing dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2003, he moved to Boston. He was accepted into the internationally-recognized Boston University Medical Center and Boston University School of Dental Medicine. After four years of advanced training, Dr. Cherry completed his specialized training with a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
At that time, he met his wife, Dr. Lisa Cherry, while she also completed dental training in pediatric dentistry. For this reason, both Drs. Brian and Lisa Cherry are fond of the Boston area and go back to visit whenever possible.
After completing his specialized residency in Boston in 2007, Dr. Cherry moved back to South Carolina and started Cherry Orchard Oral & Implant Surgery. Then in 2021, he and Lisa began Cherry Orchard Dental Specialists. Dr. Cherry is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and belongs to several specialized oral surgery organizations on both local and national levels. He is the former President of the South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons from 2019-2021, as well as a member of the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and serves on the Medical Staff at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital System for situations involving facial trauma.
In his free time, Dr. Cherry enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, including Lisa and their two children, Elizabeth and Connor. He also has a passion for sporting events, especially anything involving golf and soccer. He feels privileged to serve the oral surgery needs of patients across the Upstate and in the greater Greenville community, where he feels so deeply rooted and strives to provide the most pleasant experience possible for all of his patients.
